UTC - MooreOn Lies in 'Fahrenheit 9/11'
      FOXNews.com - Foxlife - The Truth About 'Fahrenheit 9/11'

This is the short-short version of a handful of major points in the movie which were inaccurate. I really like this one because it only takes a couple minutes to read, and very simply covers what ends up being quite a bit in the movie...

You know, just because you believe in God, that doesn't mean you are required to surrender your soul to the Republican Party.

Fox News, eh? Why am I not surprised one bit?

Probably because Fox News is pretty much one of the only non-liberal biased news sources on TV...

And my being republican is not directly due to my belief in God... I have a belief on the way things *should* be, and they pretty much happen to fall into the republican category. Though I do have a few beliefs, which differ...

One thing to note though - with my overall current situation in life, I would personally greatly benefit from a democrat controlled government, as apposed to a republican one. But my overall views have little to do with what is best for myself... They have to do with the way logically I see the way things should be...

Oh yeah, and one more thing in regards to Fahrenheit 9/11: Richard Clarke has stated that there are major errors with the theories posed by Moore in the movie. Being that the movie tries to praise Clark, that's saying a lot...

Briefly, on what specific points of Republican ideology do your feelings differ?

Don't misunderstand me, I am not a member of the Democratic Party, I have no allegiances to any political party at this time.

Also, I have yet to see this Fahrenheit 9/11 film. I think I will see it, maybe this weekend. Have you seen it?

Just a few off the top of my head...

I'm pro-choice... Which in itself is rather odd also due to my Christian beliefs. While I don't agree with abortion, I don't believe I should stand in someone who I don't know's way for something they've decided is best for their situation...

I'm also support fetal tissue research, which is kind of in the same area (but my views on these issues are NOT directly intertwined). Though I do have a bias reason, I'm a diabetic, and could possibly personally benefit from this kind of testing...

I used to be very anti-illegal immigration (I voted yes on 187 in CA), now my views have skewed a bit. I'm not specifically for it, but I've quickly moved to the center (and tend to lean back and forth). My reasoning for this is actually very specific, but I don't want to go into them publicly...

I don't think some things currently illegal necessarily should be. Prostitution I'm kind of border line... But I do feel it's a victimless crime. If two people decide on such a thing, I think that's their decision... As long as nobody else is hurt or directly adversely effected... I definitely don't agree with it, but again I don't feel it's my place to stand in other people's way...

Also I don't thing marijuana should be illegal. While it's not something I have any desire to try, I do have friends who use it, and they lead responsible lives "despite" it, so I really don't see what it hurts... Assuming it's treated in the same manner as alcohol... Of coarse I also support its use for medical purposes, very admittedly... Being someone with a plethora of medical disorders, I can respect what people sometimes go though...

I sometimes think maybe I?m really a libertarian in disguise? :P

I haven?t seen Fahrenheit 9/11? One thing I want to avoid doing at all cost is paying my money to it. I would probably see it, if I could free? I get most my info from it from the media. I just know when I heard Richard Clarke saying it was inaccurate, being that he?s now so anti-Bush himself, it pretty much puts it in a clear perspective? One thing, I have been laughing at the commercial for it, the ?Now watch this drive? commercial. That still cracks me up..

Sorry about the ?'s in the last comment, I used MSWord to check spelling, and it replaced all the ' with the curvey version...
