UTC - Bush's Record & What The Liberal Media Chooses To Omit
Before you fall for Dems' spin, here are the facts

The future president joined the Guard in May 1968. Almost immediately, he began an extended period of training. Six weeks of basic training. Fifty-three weeks of flight training. Twenty-one weeks of fighter-interceptor training.

That was 80 weeks to begin with, and there were other training periods thrown in as well. It was full-time work. By the time it was over, Bush had served nearly two years.

Not two years of weekends. Two years.

In other words: BUSH SERVED 2 FULL YEARS IN THE NATIONAL GUARD!!!

To be completely honest, I had no idea about this. I guess I was completely duped by the vast liberal media conspiracy...

I can't say I did a whole ton of research on the exact value, so if its a little more, or much more, or not a second more - I wouldn't know. I simply took what the article said, he spent a total time of (at least) 2 years actively in service...
