I'm utterly confused about this (no pun intended). A Moose Bull was strung up in a power line in Alaska...
The moose was alive when it was lowered to the ground but was later killed when officials from the Alaska Department of Fish and Game decided against tranquilizer it to remove the wires because they were worried the moose, already stressed, would die and the meat would not be salvageable as a result of the drugs.
So basically this is what is says:
In order to keep the moose from dying, we decided to kill it... We killed it, of coarse, because had we tranquilized it, we couldn't have eaten it...
Gimme a break...
