Up until a week or two ago I had Real's RealPlayer 10 beta for Mac installed on my system. Real released their no beta version, and as I often do I downloaded and installed it thinking "This is the final version, it can only be better than the beta I'm using now."
Well, unfortunately I was wrong. I purchased some
instructional video clips a couple months ago for around $10. When trying to open them today to review, I found that a window opened up saying "This clip requires the following free software" and a window which indicated it was trying to download some type of codec from Real. Well, lo and behold, it came up and said "Some need components were not available"!!!
So basically the final release will not play the video clips the beta release played fine previously... I'm basically out $10 due to Real's screw up... That doesn't include the fact that, even if I could get my $10 back, I still want to use the videos to help me with what they teach...
