    UTC - Props 74 thru 77 - The Truth
I just want to do a breif synopsis of these props and clarify the truth about them in contrast to the lies everybody is spreading about them:

74: Changes probationary period from 3 years to 5 years.
Lie - Will make it harder to remove problem teachers (this ad actually ran)
Truth - Does the exact oppisiate in fact. In the real world you can get fired for many things, which teachers if they manage to stick it out for a couple years they're in for life. Why not up the years they have to wait it out so we can stop hearing so many reports of teachers having sex with students???

75: Makes public union members political support "opt in" instead of "opt out"
Lie - Members can currently opt out.
Truth - If they can currently opt out and choose not to, what will this change? Ideally if what they say is true, it will change nothing. So why spend $100 million dollars to fight something that will change nothing???
Most members who try to opt out usually find they really can't. It becomes too difficult and overly burdensom (many union members who try it fail). And they unions do nothing to assist the people in doing it, they in fact do the oppisate. Most members end up opting out the only way they can - by removing their membership from the union, which in turn makes them loose all their power. For the record, even though they leave the union, they still pay their regular dues, they simply pay for nothing according to what the union tells them...

76: Causes a re-ordering of the budget if we're out spending
Lie - This will give the govener more power than any other in the entire country
Truth - There are currently 35 other states that have symiler bills in effect. So logic would tell you that the govener can't have more power than any other govener if well over half the goveners here have symiler powers. Oh and also - for the record - 6 states version has the govener being the ONLY person who does the re-organizing of the budget. This is different than California's 76 in that the legistature gets first crack. So even if this bill does pass, at least 6 other states currently give their govener MORE power than this bill gives Califonria's govener if it passes, so the argument is a flat out lie...

77: Puts retired judges in charge of political districting
Lie - 3 partisan judges will tear appart Caliornia for their own desires.
Truth - For starters, these judges simply draw the lines, you will have to vote on their plan to approve it once they finish. Also keep in mind that this policy was in place in California for many years in the past and it worked well. As of now the people who control the election lines are the same people who benifit from these lines. There were something like 136 seats (I could be off on this number) up for re-election last year and 136 of thoes went to the incumbant. What are the odds? 100% re-election thoughout California, we must love our congressmen. Either that or maybe they have more power than they should. Laws make it illegal for a politician to rule on something he has a conflict of interest in, yet the current set up allows them to rule on what their exact zone will be to vote on them. This is the biggest conflict of interest I can see a politician would have...

At any rate California has been majorlty screwed up now for some time. If it weren't, there would have been no recall. California is not going to be able to get back on it's feet until some changes are made, and we have to start somewhere. If we don't, the special interests will continue to get all the money and the average joe citizen will be the one giving it to them... The govnener said he would put the power in your hands to try to fix California, and he won on that promise.

What sense does it make to now say "To hell with it, I don't want the power to actually chage anything"???
