I purchased an
Ambient Orb
over the weekend & registered it on their website. For thoes who don't know what an Ambient Orb is, it's bassicaly a little frosted globe that changes colors indicating different things. One example is that (by default) it will glow red or green depending on the state of the Nasdaq.
At any rate, after setting mine up, I found I could no longer log in to control my orb. I submitted an email for support which was finally replied to yesterday. They said they could not see the serial number in the system, so told me to re-register it. When I did, I got an error saying "This device is already registered".
So I called their phone support today where they told me that they forwarded a ticket to their tech guy as they are saying that, yes my orb is in the system, but no they cannot find it. So there is basically nothing they can do since the only guy that can fix it is gone on thanksgiving vacation...
I did get a good deal on it, but at this point I'm not exactly pleased... The concept is nice, but their support and reliability is pretty ugly...
