For several months now I've been experiencing some pain in my right leg, especially when sitting & driving. I learned after an MRI that my L5/S1 disc is compressed on the right side, thereby causing a nerve running into my leg to be pinched...
The pain has been pretty bad, and is actually some of the worst I've ever experienced, even taking into account all I've been though with rheumatoid arthritis & the two hips I had replaced (plus the severe infection and everything that went along with that).
Apparently the surgery it is a fairly minor procedure, just cut a small hole and grind some bone away. I should be home the following day & back to normal within 2 weeks... overall this will be quite a relief for me... But I still have a few days until then, so more painful driving experiences are going to occur...
