If you've linked to any of my blog archives, you may need to update your link. I did a small restructure of my layout. Also, the Atom feed is now at http://www.torgo.org/blog/Atom.xml...
I just wanted to clean the layout up a bit. Since my blog is still relatively new, I figured this is the best time to do it. I do not expect to make any more major changes to the structure, so you can feel safe in now linking what's here...
FOXNews.com - Foxlife - The Truth About 'Fahrenheit 9/11'
This is the short-short version of a handful of major points in the movie which were inaccurate. I really like this one because it only takes a couple minutes to read, and very simply covers what ends up being quite a bit in the movie...
Apple accused of stealing ideas from developers again | MacNN News
I had to post about this because it's a little stupid to say the least. The following comment was apparently made by Arlo Rose (the creator of a mac shareware program called Konfabulator - of which I personally am a registered user, and have been since the first day of it's official release): Developer Arlo Rose says that Apple is stealing ideas from its developers...
What is so extreamly amuzing about this has to do with the following page about a little product for Windows called DesktopX... Konfabulator for Windows: Konfabulator is a great program. I use it on my Macintosh. I'm a registered user of it even. And Konfabulator would deserve a lot of credit for this innovation if it weren't for the inconvenient fact that DesktopX preceded it by THREE YEARS. Along with this is included a nice little thumbnail, looking so increadibly like Konfabulator, even I would think it was a copy if I didn't know that this product is three years older than Konfabulator:
If you notice in this picture there is an indicator for the homeland alert level. I personally made a widget for Konfabulator called Homeland Status which does the same thing (with a slightly different appearence). While this may not be significant in any respect, I just felt it interesting to point out... So at any rate the evedence here is a little overwelming... Arlo is accusing Apple of copying Konfabulator to make Dashboard, while Arlo himself was copying DesktopX to make Konfabulator... If you are going to accuse someone of stealing your idea, make sure it was your idea to begin with...
Here's a new one. I said I may give out more & here one is...
The rules are the same, if you get the account, please post a comment here. I *will* have your email address after you use this like, so it's not like you can completely hide from me... You can post anonymously, everybody else up to this point has... I simply want to know by the person who takes it about when it's taken... congratulations to whoever gets it: Account Taken!
Apple - Mac OS X - Tiger Preview
It's coming, and it's the competitor to M$ Longhorn's Successor... Only difference is it's going to come out way before Longhorn does (so who's to say how much longer it's direct competition will take)...
Elections Canada Frequently Asked Questions
An important note for anybody voting in Canada.. Q: Is someone allowed to eat a ballot?
This is interesting...
Moore in F911: At the start of Fahrenheit 9/11, filmmaker Michael Moore shows a clip of CNN analyst Jeffrey Toobin saying that if ballots had been recounted in Florida after the 2000 presidential vote, 'under every scenario Gore won the election.' Moore left out: ...a six-month study in 2001 by news organizations including The New York Times, the Washington Post and CNN found just the opposite. Even if the Supreme Court had not stopped a statewide recount, or if a more limited recount of four heavily Democratic counties had taken place, Bush still would have won Florida and the election... Moore in F911: shortly after the Sept. 11 attacks when the White House 'approved planes to pick up the bin Ladens and numerous other Saudis' who, fearing reprisals, were flown out of the United States. Embellishing the well-known scenario, Moore interviews a retired FBI agent who says authorities should have first questioned the bin Ladens. Moore left out*: But the bin Ladens were questioned. The commission investigating the attacks reported in April that the FBI interviewed 30 passengers: 'Nobody was allowed to depart on these six flights who the FBI wanted to interview in connection with the 9/11 attacks or who the FBI later concluded had any involvement in those attacks' * - This is in addition to my earlier post about the fact that [Richard] Clarke claimed responsibility for allowing them to leave anyway...
One Man, Two Registrations
Michael Moore is registered to vote in two states -- The Smoking Gun is there... What's more, on one of those registrations he's registered as a democrat -- not an independent as he so claims!!!
Clarke claims responsibility
In response to Mr. Moore's allegation that Bush let members of Osama Bin Laden's family fly out of the country after 9/11... Richard Clarke, who served as President Bush's chief of counterterrorism, has claimed sole responsibility for approving flights of Saudi Arabian citizens, including members of Osama bin Laden's family, from the United States immediately after the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001. So much for the claims this movie is supposed to be a documentary...
MSNBC - Israelis demolish two buildings in Gaza
Well, here ya go... Israelis fight back and their of coarse named as the aggressor (even though this was retaliation)... Read my post below to see the context I'm referring to... Palestinians are never named after they attack (in the article titles), but Israelis always are...
MSNBC - Rockets fired from Gaza kill two Israelis
Here we go again... This title does NOT say who was responsible for the missile firing. If you are unaware, there was a huge study done on this... If a Palestinian kills an Israeli, the title ends up: Rockets fired from Gaza kill two Israelis However if Israel fires a missile at a Palestinian terrorist the headline would be: Israeli rocket attack kills 2 Palestinians This form of titling occurs a huge majority of the time... In the 90%+ range... The titles always identify Israelis if they launch the attack, but never identify Palestinians when they launch the attack.
Two Killed in Palestinian Missile Attack
How could anybody justify this. At least when Israel retaliates, they try to take out Terrorists specifically. Hamas tries to kill anybody they possibly can, including children -- with no remorse... Israel at least makes an effort to avoid innocents, and is very accurate on who they aim for most of the time...
OK, this is the last one I guaranteed. I still have a few more & so may decide to put them up, but I make no guarantees on those!!!
Once again, please post a comment here if you get the account. You can post Anonymously, I just want to know for sure someone got it. Again, I don't think an "I got it" is too much to ask... Account Taken! If you don't get this one, I'd estimate there is a 75% chance I will post another link to my blog here. Then a 50% chance of another one following that, then 25%, then 5% (that's 4 total)... Of corse none of this may pan out, but as of now this is where I put the chances of more..
Here's another one. I've got at least one more after this... I have a few more outside of these that I may end up giving out here, if I can't find anybody else I know that wants one...
Remember to post a comment here if you get the account. I will get your email address, so I can find you afterwards if you don't!!! Account Taken!
I read a post on a board about the following Bush ad:
http://www.georgewbush.com/blog/archives/week_2004_06_20.html#001194 The post had some incorrect accusations, so I wanted to clear it up here... A person posted that this was an attempt by Bush to compare democrats to Hitler. They actually had their whole idea completely backwards. Every clip shown was solely a tactic used by Democrats in rants against Bush! To clarify, the Hitler videos were taken out of ads, which ran on MoveOn.org (a democrat/liberal website) COMPARING BUSH TO HITLER!!! So in other words, these clips of Hitler were not an attempt by Bush to compare democrats to Hitler, but rather were clips from commercials made by democrats to compare Bush to Hitler... The Bush commercial demonstrates the large array of tactics the democrats have taken against Bush. So the person who said the commercial is a blatant attempt to compare democrats to Hitler has it backwards... So if you were mad believing this was an attempt by Bush to compare democrats to Hitler, you should still be just as appalled to now learn that this was an ad by democrats to compare Bush to Hitler. After all, if you now change your mind after learning these were actually from democrat's ads against Bush, then you are being hypocritical...
Whoever got the last GMail invite did not leave a comment... The ONLY thing I'm asking in return for getting the account is a small "I got it" comment here on the blog...
Keep in mind that after you finish creating your account, your email address is automatically added to my address book!!! So if you think you can grab it secretly without anybody knowing who you are, you are mistaken... For example, the person who last grabed the invetation's new address is in this format: ***.********.**@gmail.com... So please, next time leave a small comment here... It's all I'm asking, and you can even do it anonymously...
OK, here's the second invite! There will be at least 2 more after this one!!!
Again please post a comment indicating you got the account, so I know someone did... Account Taken! Also, if you try the link & it doesn't work, post a comment here indicating that as well, as if as far as I can tell nobody has claimed this invite, I won't post up any more!!!
This invite is off my girlfriends account... It's first come, first served...
Account Taken! I ask that if you get it, do NOT email her, but that you DO post a comment here (click the link drectly below). Also, tell all your friends & check often, as I have a few more invites to give out in the comming days!!! (Note: this is a cheap attempt to increase blog traffic.) AGAIN, IF YOU GET THE ACCOUNT, PLEASE POST A COMMENT HERE SO I KNOW WHEN IT HAS BEEN CLAIMED!!!

I just had to blog this... This is such an amazing feat, and something I literally never thought I'd live to see. Finally a private organization has reached space... If you think about it, out of all the things in this world that fairly few people ever get to do, leaving this world is pretty close to the top. To think that maybe some day soon I will be able to go is just incomprehensible to me...
I had a brain storm last night in regards to MoveOn.org & Michael Moore...
Being their both such left wing tyrants, I was thinking they could combine & become one liberal machine. They could call themselves MooreOn.org...
I've tentatively added a blogroll this page link to the navigation bar (via Blogrolling.com) at the top of every page (to the right of the main navigation links). It requires JavaScript to be active in order to work.
There are a couple pages where the link doesn't work (The Torgo Store being one of them)... I'm trying to think of a clean way to implement that page, but as of now I'm not going to worry myself about it... So what are you wating for, go and blogroll away!!!

I've enabled trackback. I'm mainly making this post to test the process out...
Xbox: Xbox Successor in Late 2005
I think this is funny... The "Xbox Next" will use PowerPC-based architecture similar to the chipset powering Apple's G5 computers. That being the case, Microsoft's early "Xbox Next" development kits have been little more than modified Apple G5 systems pre-packed with "Xbox 2" emulation software. "I heard [Apple CEO] Steve Jobs found it pretty ironic and funny that Microsoft has been shipping Apple systems to developers," one studio source joked to IGN on the subject. Seems about right... Microsoft's own little way of saying "Yah, the Mac architecture is better..."
I've added stock quotes to the Torgo blog. They feature stocks of my choosing. The logic goes something like this:
Apple - I'm a Mac guy & love Apple! IBM - They make the chips used in the PowerMac G5s. Motorola - They make/made chips used in older Macs. Nasdaq - 'Cause I'm a technical type guy... I personally only own 1 share of stock, and that's a share of Apple. I got it though http://www.oneshare.com/. I got it around the $22-ish mark, so as of right now I'm up a little over $10...
OK, I thought of another Kerry Slogan:
John Kerry: He has more waffles than IHOP has pancakes.
Just trying to think up more honest slogans for John Kerry... I came up with one:
John Kerry: Because at some point in time he's bound share your views (even if only for a second).
I was fortunate enough to get 3 GMail invites with the account I was able to get with my blogger account. I gave one to my girlfriend, one to someone on my Career Fellowship Yahoo Group, and one to someone at work...
It's my understanding that getting GMail invites with your account is the luck of the draw. I know the person from work did NOT get invites with his account, the other two are unknown to me... I would expect my girlfriend to give invites back to the career fellowship group (it's a Yahoo group for my local church group, so if you don't go to CCCTO or CCCO, you wouldn't want/need to join), and the other person (whom I can't place by email address/name), may or may not do so (if they got any)... Knowing that few (if any) people from my career fellowship group probably read this blog, this post may have no reason for being here. But hey, if people only posted to their blogs solely when they NEED to, there wouldn't be so many of them around now would there?
If you attempted to access my site yesterday evening (10 PM-ish PST), you may have noticed some wierd things happening with the navigation bar at the top of every page on the site...
I was attempting to implement some changes I had been contimplating for a very long time, but a problem with the layout of the HTML was causing everything to line up wrong. I worked on it until around midnight (PST), when I finally narrowed down the problem... For whatever reason, both Safari & IE for windows had a problem with having one very long line of text for my navigation links... Breaking the links up into multiple lines fixed it, though caused one of my changes not to work... I did a tiny bit more work on it this morning, and at this point am leaving it as-is for now... Sorry if this caused anybody trouble...
BlogRolling
Well, I now have a BlogRoll. As of now it's barren of links, hopefully soon that might change. I also want to add a "Blogroll This Page" link to all pages on torgo.org, however I havn't quite figured out where in my format to put them...
Well, I'm sitting here at 6:45 and watching the president's hurst being unloaded on television. Around 30 minutes ago I was standing on a freeway on-ramp surrounded by countless people as far as the eye could see. I got off a couple snapshots & got one clear shot of the president's hurst (the same one I'm watching being unloaded).
I've never felt so close to the news. A fitting way to honor a man I greatly admired from the early days when I learned I was a conservative. Even if you aren't a republican, you have to admit Reagan is still a man who accomplished so much durring his time in office.
On Monday this week, I attempted to go to Simi Valley after work, to wait in line in hopes of going to the Reagan Presidential Library to be able to view Reagan's casket. After waiting in line for an hour, an officer came arround saying things we could not bring with us. I had my laptop and it was one of the items not allowed. By this time I had moved 20 feet in line and had to go back to my car (which involved waking down a huge flight of stairs I had to walk up). I was exausted by the time I got back to my car, so I ended up leaving...
I decided that night I was going to get up & head back to Moorpark College in the morning, around 4:30-AMish... After my alarm went off Tuesday morning at 3:30 AM, I didn't feel anywhere near going though the whole process, so decided then that I would skip going in the morning. That day durring my lunch break I heard on the radio that "Anybody in the line after 3:00 PM will NOT be able to view Reagan." I became a little disappointed again, but told myself "I tried." On my way home from work that day (4:30 PM), I heard on the radio that the viewing time had been extended. I was 2/3 the distance home, and had to do a 180 and come back up the freeway. The freeway I needed to get on to go was very close to my work, so I had litarally completely driven past it already. I drove up & was pleased to fine that there was almost no traffic at any point up until parking at Moorpark College... I ran up & signed a condolence book (assumibly going to the Reagan family), then got in line. The line probably had around 2000-5000 total people, and took me 1 & 1/2 to two hours to get though, on to the bus. I was excited that after getting off the bus, the line was increadibly short, and I was in within 15 mintues. The actual viewing session lasted about 45 seconds, and consisted of walking in the small area the casket was at, walking down one side, across the back end, and back up the oppisite side. It was quick but it was something I was very glad to be able to take part in... Upon leaving some staff at the Library were giving out cards. I held mine very carefully (as I had seen others do as I walked past them on my way up). I breifly wondered if I could get anything for it on eBay, though even if the answer was yes, I wouldn't consider selling it unless it were for a large amount of money. I'm hoping to get it fraimed so I can keep it in good shape. It appears that My breif though about selling it on eBay was not completely origional. This one here is currently over $60 as I'm writing this: eBay item 3916330531 (Ends Jun-16-04 16:31:23 PDT) - Official Reagan Sympathy Card Library Funeral President
I guess I just can't get enough...
I've added titles to the post setup. A small addition, but useful & I've updated the layout to accomodate them. Now the tags for the type of post are in smaller text over to the right. I think this is nicer like that anyway... Still no comments added by anybody but myself on any post. I figured with my semi-frequent political ramblings someone was bound to post something... Maybe they're all too old though, or maybe nobody ever actually reads my blog... :( Keep you eyes peeled at any rate, new additions can popup on my blog at any time!!!
The Torgo Store has been updated with summer products (which you would have gotten a newsletter about had you subscribed)!!!
One addition was The Torgo Value Tee, which is avalible for a limited time for only $9.99!!!
I've been doing some more work on my blog setup since the last post here. I have now setup the ability to comment on any of my current blogs, and the ability to browse past archives of older blogs. The links to comment on any blog is located beneith each blog post...
So go ahead & comment away!!!
My blog has now taken a slightly different format. If you have been here before a month ago or so, you can see that this entire page has changed quite a bit. I'm trying to make my blogs cleaner and more organized. I have just added the option to classify posts as either Personal posts, or Official News posts. You can easily see this by looking at the colored bar at the top of each indivdiual post. This way my personal, and often political, rants are distinguished from news about The Torgo Homepage.
All posts below this one are rated as personal, even though some of them are site news related. But everything starting with this post & above should be correctly categorized. Of corse it is possible for me to make a misteak in entering, but I'll try to keep the entries straight... At any rate, The Torgo Store is again back online. Any day now several new "summer time" products will be added. Again, I will send out a Torgo Store Newsletter when they are. If you still haven't joined, go to The Torgo Store & put your email address into the box on the bottom of the gray bar on the left hand side! It's so easy to do, why wouldn't you? Do note that to date I have not sent out a single letter. I will keep the newsletters as infrequent as possible, so you won't get spammed. Also note that I do NOT have personal access to any email addresses in the list. So if I wanted to sell addresses (not that I would want to), it's not even possible. The ONLY email address I know in the list is my own. So your information is safe!!!
Up, down, up down...
Once again The Torgo Store is down... Again, this should be only temporary, however I currently have no idea *how* temporary... The best sudgetsion I can make is to try and go every once in a while... Otherwise if you need to go there for any reason, you may just want to try again Tomorrow... At any rate I appologize for any inconvienence this may cause. This is happening way to frequently, but all I (and other CafePress members) can do is wait & hope they fix whatever is causing the problem this time...
The Torgo Store is back online. There is currently a $3 savings off of orders of $25 or more. The cupon code is good through June 8th. Enter cupon code "DADSDAY" (no quotes) durring checkout to take advantage of it.
As it stands starting soon The Torgo Store will add new products: There will be a newsletter sent out as soon as these prodcuts are added, so if you haven't joined The Torgo Store newsletter, do it now!! Just go to The Torgo Store and sign up in the bottom of the bar on the left hand side!!!
You may have heard of the Republican Attack Machine, but in case you didn't know what it looks like:

For thoes of you who might have tried...
