On the 11th of this month I went in for back surgery in order to repair a collapsed L5 S1 disk in my back. It caused a nerve to be pinched which has been creating severe pain throughout the back of my right leg, most notibly when sitting down.
Following the surgery my surgeon stated he felt that the surgery was a complete success and that my pain should be 100% gone. Unfortunatly, since returning home I've noted that the pain is not copmletely gone as of now, and may even be as bad as before the surgery. Right now my primary hope is that this is caused by inflamation following the surgery, but being my back itself is almost completely pain free (compared to my hip surgeries this took no time to heal), but the leg pain is as persistant as ever... If this doesn't fix it, I'm not sure if I have any other options. The downfall would be pretty severe, as prior to the surgery a 10 minute or longer drive was the equivalent of severe torcher to myself... It could easily end up costing me the almost normal life I've lived since being diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis. No more trips to Vegas, no more July 4th's in Filmore, no more movies at the movie theater... At any rate, if you're reading this and are of the praying type, I would greatly appreciate remembering me durring your next prayer session.
Now it's no secret I'm against illegal immigration, and I do not like the pro illegal immigrat rallies (as this is the most accurate description as to what they are). In all, I usually am against most forms of protests. That said, I saw disgusting video of cops in action at one of the rallies this week, and it clearly shows cops will beat anybody upside the head solely because they have an operunity to...
The video shot on scene clearly showed reporters being beat, even after clearly identifying themselves, solely because they were there. The only excuse? They weren't moving fast enough. Now I don't know about you, but I'm physically handicapped. I could easily myself get beat soley because I am physically disabled. Interestingly, the video shown also clearly shows kids being covered by parents while rubber bullets were fired... But in the end this simply ends up as yet another notch on the long list of signs that cops can't be trusted on any type of regular basis. The bottom line is, if any police officer was given a choice of helping out a citizen who is truely in need, or going after & punishing a minor offence, the police will always go after giving the punishment at the cost of screwing over the citizen in need. And on top of that, if a police officer had the ability of overstepping the line knowing he wouldn't be caught or punished, the cop will always cross the line. And incodents like this continue to show time & time again that these two points are true 100% of the time.
For several months now I've been experiencing some pain in my right leg, especially when sitting & driving. I learned after an MRI that my L5/S1 disc is compressed on the right side, thereby causing a nerve running into my leg to be pinched...
The pain has been pretty bad, and is actually some of the worst I've ever experienced, even taking into account all I've been though with rheumatoid arthritis & the two hips I had replaced (plus the severe infection and everything that went along with that). Apparently the surgery it is a fairly minor procedure, just cut a small hole and grind some bone away. I should be home the following day & back to normal within 2 weeks... overall this will be quite a relief for me... But I still have a few days until then, so more painful driving experiences are going to occur... |
